just thinking about the years gone by. See if you remember any of these...Grapette drink, taps on shoes (weren't we cool?), Mr Henry's shoe repair shop on Robertson Street, red boudin, The Specialty Store, The NILA theater, Mr. Toffie Ackal's store, Sputnik, Pelican Creamery, all the M&M Drive Inns, coon skin caps made famous by Davey Crockett, the Pat Boone white shoes, Latin Catholic mass, & Mr. Mac's Mirror Room. Television shows like Pinky Lee, Rin-Tin-Tin, Commando Cody, Howdy Doody, Sea Hunt, Whirlybirds, Sky King, Roy Rogers & Dale Evans, and many more. Just reminiscing...Feel free to jump in.

I used to go to both Viator's and Segura's market, but switched to Winn-Dixie after I got married. My in-laws asked me to go back to the neighborhood groceries to support them (my father-in-law played cards in the back of Viator's) so I did. I loved Abdalla's and going to the drive-in.
