To all the "whiners" of Sheriff Ackal asking for more money

How many of YOU are paying for the same amount of gas you paid in 2004?

How many of YOU are buying cars for the same amount you paid in 2004?

How many of YOU are working for the same wages you got in 2004?

How many of of YOU are running a household for the same amount you did in 2004?

How many of YOU are running a business for the same amount you did in 2004?

How many of YOU are paying your employee's the same amount of wages like you did in 2004?

How many of YOU seem to think crime is the same as it was in 2004?

And the list goes on and on! STOP whining and give the money because YOUR life or someone YOU know may depend on it one day!

If all of you whiners can do such a better job why did YOU not run for Sheriff?

Mr Ackal is a good Sheriff not a miracle worker who can run an effective dept on what it WAS in 2004!!!

He is running a department that we all count on each and every day to keep us safe and protected. I do agree that he knew what he was getting into when he ran for Sheriff and I also believe that is the reason he ran. He knew the IPSO was in horrible shape and needed an overhaul. Deep down inside i'm sure everyone knows that the former Sheriff did a horrible job and really stiffed the people of Iberia Parish. "

I'll answer that. He has borrowed money to purchase shiny new cars for people who warm chairs in the office. He has foolishly spent money on things which could have been put off until the economy improves.

He has mismanaged money and refuses to make the hard choices like the rest of us.

And, to all you over-sensitive people out ther, this is just MY opinion. "

The remaining employees have to take on additional responsibilities and duties, with a reduction to their salary. In order to keep the remaining employees, I have taken a reduction to my salary and expense account. What has Ackal done? "

NEVER. So when is service life determined? When it breaks on a way to an emergency call? "
