To reach this level of competition they had to place either first, second or third at the Area Games in Lafayette last November.
The following bowlers returned home with medals and ribbons, according to Special Olympics coach Betty LaSalle.

Silver Medals, second: Carolyn Jo Alexander, Beatrice Conley, Nolan Gaspard, Marcus Hebert, Jennifer LaBiche and Adam Rodrigues.
Bronze Medals, third: Ryan Arceneaux, Thierry Dardant, Lorenzo Johnson, Rene Migues, Chad Scelfo and Charlotte Schexnayer.
Fourth Place Ribbons: Angela Broussard, Jason Juneau, James Kilchrist, Bryan Chris Landry, Brian Listi, Keith McGuire and Joshua Racca.
Fifth Place Ribbons: Enuse Champagne, Kelly Braud, Ralph Davis, Rebecca Marceaux and Brandon Patin.
Sixth Place Ribbons: Dennis Fontenot and Kenneth Fontenot.
Special Olympics coaches and league coaches attending were: Eugene Arceneaux, Jeanette Arceneaux, Joe Bourque, Belinda LaSalle, Allen LaSalle, Cliff Meyers, Melissa Racca, Harold Racca, Cindy Scelfo, Brent Viator, Jerry and Betty LaSalle.
The tournament took place at Circle Bowl and Don Carter Lanes.
The New Iberia USBC Bowling Association 60th Annual City Handicap Championship Tournament held at Bayou Pins Bowling Center turned out to have multiple winners in each division.
Following are the winners.
In the handicap division, team event was won by All Tiger Fans with a 3443 score.
Team members were Larry Deslatte Jr., Kevin Hyde, Walter Slaughter, Preston Hull and Mike Hyde. Doubles was won by Cliff Burke Jr. and Eric Simon with a 1417 combined score. Jamie Beaugh’s 743 was tops in the singles and his three sets of 2115 placed him first in all-events.
In the scratch division, which has the same winners as the handicap, team All Tiger Fans once again was first with a 3231 score. Cliff Burke Jr. and Eric Simon won the doubles with a 1417 score. Jamie Beaugh captured the singles with a 743 set and he also won all-events with a 2115.
There were 29 teams, 105 singles, 53 doubles and 84 all-events entered in the tournament.
The Louisiana State USBC Women’s Bowling Association Annual Meeting will be held at the Sai Convention Center in Alexandria Saturday, April 4.
While the annual meeting is open to all members, you must be a registered delegate to have voice and vote at the meeting.
Prior to the start of the annual meeting, a one-hour workshop will be held. This will begin at 1 p.m. The meeting will begin immediately following the workshop.
The Louisiana State USBC Women’s Bowling Association 60th Annual Championship Tournament is history and following are the women bowlers from New Iberia who placed in the final standings.
Singles handicap: Monette Hoffpauir, 725; Rhonda Bulliard, 717.
Doubles handicap: Penny Krepper and Bonnie Dautrerive, 1375.
Four person handicap team: Invasion Girls, 2724; Thunder, 2717.
All-events handicap: Penny Krepper, 2081; Rhonda Bulliard, 2044
All-events scratch: Rhonda Bulliard, 1945; Beth Comeaux, 1793.
There were 130 four member teams, 159 five member teams, 623 doubles, 1246 singles, 1204 optional handicap all-events and 357 optional scratch all-events entered in the tournament.
The tournament was held in the Shreveport/Bossier City area.
