With everything that is happening now, it appears that soon all prophecy will be fulfilled. In the book of Daniel chapter 11, the scriptures align with current events. God created the earth in six days and on the seventh day he rested. We know that one day to God is as a thousand years to man (2Pet.3:8). The earth is about 6 thousand years old, symbolically that is 6 days. Day 7 is at hand!

I would rather rely on my innate moral convictions, which are God given, and try to live as straight as I can, just in case. "

It is so easy to go beyond the boundaries of knowledge, and insist that what one believes is truth, when if fact it is only a bellief, supported by nothing more than their faith, not knowledge. If we don't know something to be true, the just say "I DON't KNOW" and stop pushing your beliefs as being supported by truth, or the Devine. The truth is: WE DON'T KNOW....we only bellieve, and that doesn't support our cause. "

The root word for Knowledge, is "KNOW' We can't know anthing that isn't knowledge. Only truth stands in support of knowledge, while a bellief is supported by nothing but one's faith....and that doesn't make a bellief "knowledge" If someone's belief makes their trip through life easier, and more fulfilling, then hang onto it; embrace it, but don't go beyond the boundaries of knowledge. " To Cajun:

You are calling creation simplistic? Wow! An ominipotent power designs every molecule of every living thing and every atom of all matter and you call it "simplistic".

Evolution is an unsupportable science, in fact it is not even science, it is a THEORY, at least that's what Darwin called it when he produced his half-baked idea.

Use your brain, read the Word and realize that today's real science is fully supported by the Word. "

Any where you read about the "foundation of the world" in the bible it is referring to the very beginning which was indeed millions of years ago. " To Homo Sapien - that is not what happened, and creation of earth cannot be explained in such simplistic terms. Please go back to school. And to D. Hertz - I believe in God, but I ALSO USE MY BRAIN - geologist have estimated the earth at around 6 billion years old USING SCIENCE. Additionally, the Bible does not explain everything. If it did then we would know the meaning of life and so on. It scares me to think that there are people who turn a blind eye to the world if it isn't explained in the Bible. "

" So let me get this right a star exploded and miraculously an ameba landed in boiling hot water and millions of years later the most perfect creation on earth evolved? Human. OK! Let's start all over. BOOOOM! Ameba in hot water. Now what part of the human was created from the ameba first? I guess it was an eyeball to see what the heck it wanted to evolve into. Well I guess it wanted to become a fish first. Didn't everything begin in the ocean? Where's Flintstone when you need-him? "

    D. Hertz wrote on Mar 25, 2009 3:13 PM:

" Evolution? Where are the billions and trillions of fossils of these prehuman creatures?

Your science has never proved that genetic information has been ADDED to any living organism. In fact, it is PROVEN that genetic information is LOST generation after generation, which is totally contrary to the theory of evolution.

Remember, evolution is a THEORY, which means that it is NOT fact. Darwin came up with the THEORY, which theory has never been proven.

This is just another excuse not to be responsible to your creator. "

    D. Hertz wrote on Mar 25, 2009 3:06 PM:

" Science, you don't really believe that stuff do you? There is no written history prior to 6,000 years ago, so how the blank do these scientists know? What a joke!

The events prophesied in the bible have come to pass just as written. With a perfect track record, why wouldn't you read the bible to see what comes next, instead of relying on a few guys chipping away at some rocks in the middle of nowhere arrogantly telling us how old we are?

God is real. It makes no difference if YOU believe it. "

To Homo Sapien wrote on Mar 25, 2009 6:49 AM:

" Did you by chance go to school with Pebbles and Bam Bam? Monkeys and humans evolved from a COMMON ANCESTOR - not each other!! Humans aren't going to grow a third arm in a week. What's so difficult to understand? Is the concept of millions of years not sinking in? Animals adapt and those that don't, go extinct. It's a fact! Go back to school!!!! "

Homo Sapien wrote on Mar 24, 2009 10:43 PM:

" If man evolved from monkey then why is that not continuing to happen today? There is no missing link. Isn't it strange that link has never been established? If monkey was our originator what's blocking that evolutionary event? We should be able to go down to the monkey farm at the air base and see that transformation on a daily basis. "

It seems they've been representing the earth being around for millions of years. Really folks do any of us know we'll wake up in the morning? The real revelation is we should live our lives to the fullest everyday by doing the right things because if you aren't part of the solution then you're part of the problem. "

A wise person knows that while were in the flesh we only use a certain amount of our imbedded intelligence based on what we learn or is taught. Charles Darwin may have been skillful with words. We can choose to believe man or the One who created that man. There is enough archaeological evidence to prove that the bible is truth and no where in the Word does it even suggest evolution. EVERY knee shall bow...even Darwin! "

" I wish I could link you to several studies of evolution done by highly educated scientists. Just google to your heart's content before making foolish statements about a fish turning into a monkey - please. Animals adapt to their own ecosystems. Fish HAVE adapted, Monkeys HAVE adapted, Humans HAVE adapted - all to their own surroundings and environments - You don't need to Bible to explain every single thing, do you? If not, you're not using the brain God gave you. "

My Two Cents wrote on Mar 24, 2009 8:54 AM:

" To Come on, in this day and age of high tech equipment there would have been studies following the process of evolution step by step in order to prove that theory. We have yet to see a fish turn into a monkey turn into a person. Science is merely a study of the creation and not the foundation of the creation. A seed or egg of any kind will only produce a seed or egg of a like kind. There would have been written proof if evolution suddenly or progressively stopped. The fact is it never existed. "

Tim wrote on Mar 24, 2009 8:41 AM:

" Fun fact for you evolution deniers: evolution can simple be proven by looking at your own bodies. We have appendixes and wisdom teeth (which we now do not need or use). The reason we have these has to do with our bodies being able to eat/break-down raw meat which was needed for prehistoric man when we lived in a time before fire. I don't want this be a long discussion, but this is a proven fact and cannot by dismissed. "

I don't understand why it is so hard for people to believe in both. If God can create man, why can he not have a hand in evolution. Additionally, to "Get Right With God," not all creatures perished during "the first earth age" - you can look at an alligator in your own backyard for proof of this. "

Continued wrote on Mar 24, 2009 5:58 AM:

" How is it so difficult to understand that God controls the changes and controls our evolution into adapting into our times? Can you explain why some people are no longer born with wisdom teeth? It's because we, as humans, no longer eat the same foods - we are not cavemen hunting down our meal each night and cooking over an open fire - we no longer need such teeth, therefore, over millions of years, our bodies have adapted to that change. I simply don't understand how Catholics cannot agree with the fact that science exists because of God? "

Come on wrote on Mar 24, 2009 5:53 AM:

" Why are some Catholics so cut and dry? "Either we believe in the Creator or we don't" - and that has ANYTHING to do with believing in science or not? Get real! Evolution is not something that happens in a couple of years or a couple of decades - GEEZE people - read a book! Put down the Bible, educate yourselves, and UNDERSTAND that God created the world as it is - an ever-changing, always-adapting home to His people. Do you really believe that a snap of the finger created the world as is? REALLY?! "

I wonder how much is BS and I wonder how much is his OWN words....probably a lot. The spirit, person, Supreme Being, God, etc, that I pray to is a helpful, kind, understanding one. If you believe YOUR God will destroy the world because somebody wrote a book (probably wasn't autographed either) then go for it. I believe my God can kick your God's rear in a cage match! Also read: Heb. 1:2, Heb. 11:3, Jude 1: 4-6, 1Kings 8:27, Rev. 12:2, Rev. 21:1....all will let you know that there are three earth ages. "

It's important to have the attitude that we should be willing to bear our cross here on Earth, no matter how difficult or how long. "

I don't know if you missed the meaning of my post. I plan to spend eternity in Heaven. What I meant to say is that there are different interpretations as to when the rapture will take place. Many believe "pre-tribulation", others in the middle and still others after. What I meant to say was that it is just important to be ready and live a life of faith. As far as the smugness issue is concerned, I do know a handful of people who have that attitude. They insist its absolutely pre-tribulation and are apathetic about those "

The word rapture may not be in the Bible but what it means is. We want as many people to come with us as we can get. Alas, Christians, particularly baby Christians will push too hard and wind up pushing people away. Smug, no, all about 'me', no. We have a choice to make, I've made mine. What-about-you??? Where will you spend eternity??? "

" I believe this too, though I know I may be wrong. Jesus said we will not the hour. I know many Christians who believe they will be raptured before the tribulations begin. They have an almost smug attitude about it. It's really ashamed that they don't think of the many people who will perish during that time unsaved or those that will be martryed. They still have a "me" attitude. What I would say is this. Every generation has had people die in wars, pestilences and such. Be prepared to live your faith, no matter how long it may be. "
