‘Ballad of Dave Robicheaux’ video being made
Published/Last Modified on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 2:08 PM CST
Becky Owens, Andy Smith and Paul Schexnayder are teaming up to make a music video called “The Ballad of Dave Robicheaux.” Musician Andy Smith wrote the music to lyrics that he and Doug Drake came up with. Artist Paul Schexnayder painted a cover for the CD-Rom of the song. Schexnayder also came up with a story line and a story board for a music video and called on his sister, Becky Owens, to video it. Smith and Schexnayder said the video is about redemption and being true to yourself. It’s about an angel coming back to get it right and try it again. The video will be on several of the threesome’s own Web sites, on www.youtube.com and in the Acadiana Film and Music festival in April. Dave Robicheaux is a fictional character of local author James Lee Burke.
