Acadiana training session nears

Hospice of Acadiana is looking for partners in the community and has scheduled a one-day training session for prospective volunteers from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Jan. 26 in the Hospice conference center, 2600 Johnston St. in Lafayette. Pre-registration is required.

Hospice of Acadiana, having celebrated 25 years, is the only local non-profit organization that provides medical care, counseling and spiritual guidance to patients with a life-threatening condition and their families in a seven-parish service area that includes Iberia, St. Martin and St. Mary parishes.

Those interested in the training can learn medical aspects of caring for the terminally ill.
