NISH softball/volleyball skeet shoot fundraiser set

The third annual New Iberia Senior High Softball/Volleyball Skeet Shoot is scheduled Jan. 24 at Ed’s Shooting Range in Kaplan.

Proceeds from the event benefit the NISH softball and volleyball teams.

Participants must pre-register for the event by Saturday, Jan. 17. The shoot is limited to the first 30 teams entered and begins at 9 a.m.

Cost is $100 per shooter or $400 per four-shooter team. Checks payable to NISH Softball should be sent with the entry form to NISH Softball, 1301 E. Admiral Doyle Dr., New Iberia, LA 70560.

Shooters must provide their own shells. Shooters may bring their own transportation (golf cart, Gator or Mule, but no 4-wheelers), but those who do not have their own transportation will be brought to the course, and allowed to walk the course from there.

Participants and spectators are required to use eye and ear protection at all times.

Those unable to participate but who would like to donate to the teams may do so. Lunch will be provided by Iberia Bank.
