Westgate knocks off Sulphur; Franklin beats Centerville

SULPHUR -- Deon Anthony had 15 points as Westgate handed Sulphur a 64-58 loss Tuesday in a non-district game.

Jacolby Colbert added 12 and Leroy Charles had 10 for the Tigers (15-7), who rallied from a 4-point deficit in the fourth quarter for the win.

Chip Armelin had 23 points for the Tors (14-7).

Franklin 79, Centerville 54

FRANKLIN -- Titus Guilbeaux scored 18 points and Avery Bell added 15 as Franklin (14-8) blew past Centerville Tuesday in a non-district game.

Chase Boykins added 11 for FSH, which jumped out to a 21-11 first quarter lead.

Quintus Williams led Centerville (11-14) with 15 points while Jovan Sanders and Clarence Chapman each had 11 for the Bulldogs.

Franklin travels to North Central and Centerville travels to Morgan City Friday.

Hanson 75, Assembly Christian 59

Matt Guienze exploded for 34 points and Jordan Sanchez added 24 as Hanson beat Assembly Christian Tuesday in a non-district game.

Josh Russo lead ACS (14-10) with 19 points, Gunnar Robichaux added 15, Keisuz Provost chipped in 13 and Dakota Billiot scored 10 in the loss.

Hanson is off Friday and travels to Ascension Episcopal Tuesday while ACS travels to Delcambre Friday.

ESA 59, Loreauville 44

CADE -- Brandon Taylor scored 12 points as ESA used a strong first half to pull away and beat Loreauville Tuesday in a non-district game.

Max Kallenderger added 10 for the Falcons (8-14), who outscored LHS 37-22 in the first half and held on for the win.

Dillon Anthony, Nicholas Julien and Eddie Gaddison each had 10 points for Loreauville.

ESA plays host to Northside Christian and Loreauville travels to Kaplan Friday.

Jeanerette 50, Delcambre 39

JEANERETTE -- Kurt Bouie had 13 points as Jeanerette handled Delcambre Tuesday in a non-district basketball game.

Gerron Dangerfield and Michael Tolds each scored 11 points for the Tigers, who jumped out to a 18-6 first quarter lead and held on for the win.

Deon Jones led Delcambre with 21 points.

Jeanerette plays host to New Iberia Senior High Friday and Delcambre plays host to Assembly Christian in a pair of non-district games.
