Marie Hebert Chase

Maxine Marie Chase, 58, born in Jeanerette, and resident of Patterson, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2009 at Teche Regional Medical Center.

A time of remembrance and reflection was held Sunday at Hargrave Funeral Home and continued today at First Assembly of God in Berwick with services at 2 p.m.

Maxine was laid to rest in New Iberia at Beau Pre`Cemetery.

Maxine will all ways be remembered as the perfect wife, mother, friend and the absolute best “full time” granny a kid could have. It goes without saying Maxine had an over abundance of love for her family she was at her best when taking care of her family.

Maxine is survived by her husband of 39 years Wayne Chase of Patterson; one son, Chad Chase of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Dana Martin and her husband Sherel E. of Patterson; a lifelong friend, Alice Davis of Patterson; her mother, Gercie Hebert of Jeanerette; two brothers, Ricky Hebert and David Hebert both of Jeanerette; one sister, Peggy Hebert of New Iberia; and four grandchildren, Chase Martin, Lindsey Martin, Logan Martin, and Kelsey Chase.

Maxine was preceded in death by her dad, Joseph Hebert; her maternal grandparents, Lionel and Anita Derouen and her paternal grandparents, Valmont and Eve Hebert.
