LAKE CHARLES — Funeral services for Pearl T. Louis, 76, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 20, 2008, at Woodbury Congre-gational Church in Lake Charles.  Visitation is Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church.  The Rev. M.C. Lewis will officiate. Burial will be at Combre Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Charles. 

She died at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008. She was born in St. Martinville to the late Joshua J. Louis and Lillian Batiste Louis. She worked at Louis Drive Inn and Calcasieu Marine National Bank for many years.

Survivors include one son Joshua A. (Sharon) Louis Sr. of Lake Charles; two daughters Hester Louis of Lake Charles and Alzina Louis of St. Martinville; one brother Earl Louis Sr. of Lake Charles; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren all of Lake Charles; one uncle Alton “Tony” Batiste Sr. of St. Martinville; two aunts Amelia Mouton and Hilda B. Willis of St. Martinville; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Lillian and Irving Bechet; her father and stepmother, Joshua J. and Octavia Louis; her grandparents, John and Priscella J. Batiste and gustav and Alzina T. Louis; and one sister-in-law Melva Louis.

Active and honorary pallbearers will be members and friends of the family.

Combre Funeral Home of Lake Charles is in charge of arrangements.
