Barbara Ann Bergeron

JEANERETTE — Funeral services for Barbara Ann Bergeron, 80, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Theo Landry officating. Entombment will follow in St. John Mausoleum.

Visiting hours will be observed from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at David Funeral Home in Jeanerette.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Barbara died at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2008 in a New Iberia Hospital.

Barbara was a member of the St. Mary Retired Teachers, after 36 years of teaching in the St. Mary Parish Schools. She was a member of H2U at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia, and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette.

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn B. Romero and her husband Donald of Lafayette; one niece, Carla Moylan and her husband John of Lafayette; three nephews, Don Romero and his wife Donna of Katy, Texas, Michael Romero and his wife Donna of Saudi Arabia, Timothy Romero of Kennesaw, Ga.  and a number of great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Estelle Michel Bergeron.

    " Miss Barbara was my first grade teacher at St. Joe in Jeanerette, and I loved her dearly. It was always a pleasure to see her at church in Jeanerette over the years. I'll never forgeh her! "
