John H. Myers Funeral services will be conducted for John Howard “Johnny” Myers, 65, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Barry Crochet officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, from 3 until 9 p.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service. A native of New Iberia and resident of Broussard, Mr. Myers died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at 7:15 p.m. at his residence. “Johnny” loved riding motorcycles and was a member of the Cajun Harley Owners Group. He was a constant volunteer for MDA and also volunteered for The Boys and Girls Club. He worked for Halliburton in Morgan City for 27 years. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Gayle Cordova Myers of Broussard; two daughters Lisa M. Creech of Morgan City and Kim M. LaRive and husband Darren of Broussard; one brother, Horace Myers and wife Jane of Broussard; one sister Chris Myers and friend Sue Hernandez of Broussard; grandchildren John Anthony Myers of Covington, Samantha Marie Creech of Morgan City and Dylan LaRive of Broussard; and his beloved aunt Doris Boudreaux of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard P. and Susie Migues Myers; his paternal grandparents, Bib and Naomie Savoie Myers; and his maternal grandparents Bertrand and Lula David Migues. Pall bearers will be Larry Langlinais, David Myers, David, Brian and Todd Cordova and John Anthony Myers. Honorary pallbearers will the Harley Owners Group.
