The Iberia Parish Schools each recently received a letter from Catholic High School stating that they no longer wished to play in the Iberia Parish Football Jamboree. Instead, they will now be playing in the Lafayette Jamboree. The reason stated was that it would give their kids the opportunity to play on Cajun Field. Instead of switching when they were hosting the jamboree, they pulled the switch when another school was hosting leaving the burden of finding another team on that school. The Jamboree brings in a good amount of funding for the Iberia Parish Schools. Having a school pull out of the Jamboree will have a great impact because it will take many people from Iberia Parish and bring them to Lafayette. At a time when the economy is heading south and we are being asked to spend our money in our parish, they are taking their business elsewhere. Bravo Catholic High!

Why should this story be sensationalized in the media? To satisfy hateful, gossipmongers as yourselves?
Has it not occured to any of you that there are others involved (such as a wife, children and a minor)? How Christian of your desire to satiate your hateful tendancies that you would enjoy the hurt and embarressment of the truly innocent.
I am repulsed! "

Answer, your choice of, "those things NEVER happen at a religious school" or" it is a private school, not subjected to disclosures like public schools". I see NOBODY wants to even touch that topic. "

Loreauville's program is not lacking anything. They have the best group of coaches and players in this area. It's not all about winning, but giving it your best and having respect for each other, and that's what the coaches and players at LHS do. Please leave the CHS drama at CHS, Loreauville High is awesome just the way it is. Two thumbs up to the coaching staff and athletes at LHS!!!! "

If the football team's coaches and principal want their team to play on artificial turf, shouldn't the artificial turf that they want their team to strive for be the artificial turf in the Superdome, the ultimate goal of a high school football team? "

it is not a CHS players falt for what Uhl-fool and Brodie have decided to do. This is just another slap in the face of parents, teachers, and administration of CHS by Uhl-fool to prove he will do what he wants and when he wants. I am so glad my son left there couple years ago. Comeaux had good times at CHS but he was ruled by that dang baseball coach Power Jordan. There have been wonderful coaches at CHS but Uhl-fool has let them go and kept the Uhl-fool supporting coaches. It is sad for the parish "

Do you really think New Iberia is the only place that has shootings, stabbings, and arrests??? Get out of here. Lafayette is only a bigger city than here. If anything there will be more violence there. Maybe you should go support Lafayette by moving there if you think NI is such a horrible, violence-filled town.WAKE UP! "
