Dartez wins weekly Grid Quiz McKinna Dartez won the 12th weekly contest in the 28th annual Grid Quiz contest sponsored by the New Iberia Recreation Department and The Daily Iberian. Dartez, Dwayne Dartez, John Kipp and Reed Streva each correctly picked 16 of 20 games in the contest. McKinna Dartez won the tiebreaker by being closest to the total points for the tiebreaker game, LSU’s 40-31 win over Troy (71 total points). She had 56 for her total, while Dwayne Dartez had 55, Kipp had 54, and Reed had 49. McKinna Dartez missed the Tulane-UAB, Baylor-Texas A & M, Michigan-Northwestern and Maryland-North Carolina contests. Dwayne Dartez missed Florida Atlantic-UL-Lafayette, Baylor-Texas A&M, Michigan-Northwestern and Maryland-North Carolina. Kipp missed Florida Atlantic-UL-Lafayette, Tulane-UAB, Florida State-Boston College and Kentucky-Vanderbilt. Streva missed Sam Houston State-Southeastern Louisiana, Texas State San Marcos-Nicholls State, Florida State-Boston College and Yale-Princeton. Glenn Baudoin, Rickey Bonin, Dalton Dore, Cliff Ellender, Claudette Fremin, Bryan Judice, Tammy Perez, Suzette Romero, Pat Thibodeaux and Robert Touchet each had 15 of 20 correct. Twenty-three people had 14 of 20 correct. Rob Schlicher is the season’s overall leader with 164 correctly picked out of 220 games. David Boyd, James Roy and Perry Templeton are second with 161 each.
