Vivian H. Decuir

LOREAUVILLE — Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Dennis Decuir the former Vivian “BB” Hebert, 89, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday Nov. 28, 2008, from 4 p.m. until service time with a Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8 a.m.until service time.

She died Tuesday Nov. 25, 2008, at 7:45 a.m. in a Lafayette health care facility.

A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish Mrs. Decuir enjoyed dancing and embroidering. She was a member of many senior citizens organizations. She also enjoyed painting and puzzle making.

Survivors include two sons; Dennis “Danky” DeCuir of Port Arthur, Texas and Clyde Decuir and wife Irene of Lafayette, two sisters; Cecile Roberts of Houston, Texas and Lillian Meneke of Highland, Texas, grandchildren; Lanny Decuir of Port Arthur, Texas, Denise Decuir Moses of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Ashlee DeCuir Donahey of Fort Worth, Texas, John Decuir of New Orleans and David Decuir of Lafayette and one great grandchild; Anika Marie DeCuir of Port Arthur, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Dennis J. Decuir, parents; James and Eloise Andre Hebert, brothers; Joseph “Joe” Hebert, Jim Hebert, George Hebert, Andre Hebert, Francis Hebert and Louis Hebert, sisters; Pauline Gowan and Marie Redden.

Pallbearers will be Lanny DeCuir, John Decuir, David Decuir, John Neal, George Streit and Hardy Broussard.
