Nominate for Players of the Week for Nov. 6-7 games

Nominate players for The Daily Iberian's weekly Web poll for Fan Vote Player of the Week honors by submitting a comment at the end of this article, listing the player's name and school and reasons for the nomination, statistics or comments.

Players should be nominated below for games of Nov. 6-7.

Each week players nominated by fans on the Web site, www.iberianet.com, are listed in a poll on the sports page of the Web site beginning on Monday afternoon. Fans may select one offensive player and one defensive player from those listed.

Advertisement
Voting continues through Thursday at 2 p.m., when votes are counted. An article honoring the players with the most votes will be published Friday in The Daily Iberian and on its Web site.

His name was announced more times than I can count, as he made countless tackle and as center for the team blocked for the offense to plow down the field and keep the ball from the Bears. He was given Game Ball recognition by Daily Advertiser and I think New Iberia/Daily Iberian needs to follow suit. He also was in the top two in passing yards for last week's games in the acadiana area. "

So I guess being a NISH fan may make my nomination a little biased but I would like to nominate Jordy Joseph (NISH) for offensive player. I don't know the stats but that doesn't always tell the story anyway. Jordy had one heck of a game Thursday night. He kept his cool ,didn't get rattled ,made some clutch plays and led his team down the field over and over again. His best game this season "
