Wenceslaus F. Provost Sr.

 A celebration of life will be held for  Mr. Wenceslaus Frank “Boy” Provost Sr., 66, on Tuesday Nov. 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia, with the Reverend Donovan Labbe‚officiating.

He will be awaiting the resurrection at St. Nicholas Catholic Church Cemetery in Patoutville.

The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until the time of service with a Rosary recited at 10 a.m. at the church.

A resident of New Iberia, he passed on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at 6:32 p.m. in New Iberia.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Leaving to cherish his memories are, his wife of 44 years Bernadette Olivier Provost; three sons, Edward Frank Provost Sr. (Kimberly), Rodney Niles Provost (Michelle), Wenceslaus Provost Jr. (Angie Anderson); one daughter Angel Marie P. Olivier (Barry) all of New Iberia; two brothers; Willis Provost Sr. (Linda) and John Provost Sr.; three sisters, Manila Olivier (Hilton), Geraldine Edwards, and Mary Marita Tolbert ( John Thibeaux) all of New Iberia; seven grandchildren; Edward Provost Jr., Keasey Nelson, Kayla Nelson, Kerri Provost, Zakary Provost, Jillian Provost, and Christian Olivier; three great-grand children, Ally and Payton Provost, and Devin Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He joins in glory his parents, Frank Provost Sr. and Mary B. Provost; father and mother-in-law Herbert and Clara Olivier; nephews Benford Olivier and Norton Olivier; and one godchild Kenny Olivier.

Active pallbearers will be Benjamin Olivier, Willis Provost Jr., Byron Olivier, John Provost Jr., Kent Olivier Sr. and Vincent Fisher.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Provost Sr., Rodney Provost, Wenceslaus Provost Jr., Barry Olivier, Willis Provost Sr., John Provost Sr., Peter H. Olivier, John Thibeaux, Luther Edwards, Daniel Olivier, Edward Provost Jr., Landon Olivier, Albert George, Benward Olivier, Benedict Olivier, Bobby (Coffee) George, Al Thompson Sr., Ed Kelly, Harold Grogan, Robert Riley, George Boutte, Zakary Provost, Christian Olivier, Devin Thomas, Melvin Boutte, Paul Irving Olivier, David Fisher, Tina Olivier, Ike Petrey, and a host of former employees.

The family has requested and is receiving professional care from Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia.
