Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum. Pastor David Denton of Highland Baptist will conduct the funeral service.
Born on July 15, 1941, John is the son of the late Harry Alfred and Sophie Mary Wysocki Skinner. Raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, John lived most of his life in New Iberia and later retired to Sevierville, Tennessee. He proudly served our country having been in the United States Navy. Throughout his life John was active in many organizations, which included: the American Legion, a volunteer for Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America leader for 14 years, a member of the Freelance Photographers and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. John retired from CLECO after 35 years of service

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 9 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Tuesday. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
