Funeral services for Mrs. Cleveland Breaux Sr., the former Judy Cheramie, 65, will be held on Sunday,

Nov. 2, 2008, at 2 p.m. in Inter-Faith Fellowship of New Iberia.

The Reverend Ryan Derouen will officiate.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held in David Funeral Home beginning on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at 10 a.m., and will continue through the night until service time on Sunday.  A rosary will be recited on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Breaux passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at 1:09 a.m. in a New Iberia hospital.

A native of Golden Meadow and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Breaux attended Inter-Faith Fellowship of New Iberia.  She was a loving mother and good friend to all who knew her, and she taught many people the true meaning of love.  An avid LSU and New Orleans Saints fan, she also enjoyed playing bingo, going shopping, crocheting, and watching T.V.  In days past, she would go bowling, shoot pool, and enjoyed fishing.  An excellent cook, Mrs. Breaux was happiest when she feeding and caring for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Cleveland J. Breaux Sr.; daughters, Wanda F. Breaux and Lucia “Tutt” Breaux; son, Jack P. Breaux and wife, Tanya ; daughter-in-law, Ramona “Mona” Breaux; son-in-law, James “Mike” Harbison; grandchildren, Brandon Hull and wife, Jennifer, Jacque Breaux, Tia Breaux, London Faith Breaux, Cleveland “C.J. Breaux, III, Dominique Breaux (whose grandmother was his best friend), Dwight Fage and wife, Annie, and Miguel Fage and wife, Keisha, all of New Iberia; six great-grandchildren; brother, Alton Cheramie and wife, Janice of Lafitte; aunts, Nellie Melancon of Golden Meadow and Louella Verrett and husband, Gil of Houma; uncle, Thomas Cheramie and wife, Babe of Paradis; and special friend, Candace Rayburn of New Iberia.

Preceding Mrs. Breaux in death were her parents, Morris and Lucy Borne Cheramie; son, Cleveland “T-Cleve” Breaux Jr.; step-daughter, Linda Harbison;  and daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Johnny Meyers.

Serving as pallbearers are Jacque Breaux, C.J. Breaux, III, Dominique Breaux, Jack Breaux, Buddy Breaux, Darren Breaux, Brandon Hull, Preston Hull, Steve Bonin, Miguel Fage, Dwight Fage.

Honorary pallbearers are Monica Meyers, Tia Breaux, Justin Franklin, Paul Breaux, Michael Harbison, and Crystal Bourque.
