Fair planned

The community is invited to join in the fun of the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church Fair scheduled for Oct. 10-12.

Organizers are promising  a full weekend of family fun.

The fair opens Friday, Oct. 10 with a fish sandwich sale from 5- 7 p.m. in the church hall. Tickets are available  for $5 and walk-ins are welcome.

An outdoor Fais-D0-Do with Donna Angelle and Zydeco Posse begins at 8 p.m. through midnight. Admission is $5 for children 12 and under, and $7 for children over 13 and adults. No ice chest allowed.

On Saturday, Oct. 11 after the evening mass, all booths will be open with more fun and games, plus music, food, prizes and a bingo starting at 7 p.m. until.

On Sunday, Oct. 12,  barbecue dinners will be sold from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the parish hall. Tickets are $6 and all walk-ins are welcome. Booths will reopen at 12 noon and remain open to 6 p.m.

A parade will be held at 1 p.m. on the corner of Minville Blvd. and Main St. in Jeanerette.

All organizations are invited to participate for a donation.

Following the parade, there will be a cake walk. There will also be more fun and games throughout the day and then  the final raffle cash drawing of $1,000 at 5 p.m.
