Linda Dautreuil Dugas

St. Martinville — Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Bobby Dugas, the former Linda Dautreuil, 67,  at 1 p.m.  Monday at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Monsignor  Douglas Courville officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 12 until 10 p.m. today with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m.. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday until service time.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Dugas passed away at 3:08 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Mrs. Dugas was a member of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church and was very active in many Catholic Organizations. She enjoyed crafts, including embroidery, crocheting and making handmade rosaries. She also liked watching television, her favorite soap opera was “Young and the Restless.” Her favorite past time was talking on the telephone, she spoke everyday to her sister, Dixmae, who passed away October 8, 2008.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bobby Dugas of St. Martinville; one daughter, Chantal Dugas of St. Martinville, two brothers, Dwight Paul Dautreuil of St. Martinville and Robert Dautreuil of New Iberia and three sisters, Dianna Mae Romero of St. Martinville, Lustria Martin of Port Barre and Vickie Ann Walker of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Electa Melancon Dautreuil; one son, Walter Quincy John Dugas; one brother, Elden Dautreuil and one sister, Dixmae D. Doucet.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Albert, Derek Albert, Jacob Albert, Brian Dautreuil, Harold Thibodeaux, Jimmy Dupuis, Huey Dugas Jr. and Chris Dugas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Dugas, Russell Dugas and Alfred Hubbard.
