A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Ryan Charles Walker, 32, who died on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, in New Iberia.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born on Sept. 3, 1976 in Iberia Parish, Ryan worked construction as a carpenter.

Survivors include his mother, Verly Duplantis of Lafayette; son, Devin Charles Hebert of Iberia Parish; brothers, Keith Hebert of New Iberia, Keith Walker of New Iberia, Todd Hebert and fiancée Karen Bonin of New Iberia, Cory Hebert and wife Denise of New Iberia; sisters, Cindy Saintes of New Iberia, Karen Menard and husband Troy of New Iberia; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Walker; grandparents, Theard and Eunice Duplantis, Clay and Noemie Walker; cousin, Chad Stelly; aunt, Jean Duplantis. Pallbearers include Cory Hebert, Todd Hebert, Keith Hebert, Troy Menard, Keith Walker, Brady Saintes, and Tyler Hebert.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m., Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
