Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum. Visitation will be Thursday Oct. 2, 2008, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m.
Visitation will resume Friday from 8 a.m. until service time.

A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Mr. Prioux was retired from Texaco Inc. as a head roustabout after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and a member of the 11th Armored Division Associa-tion. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and keeping in touch with his Army buddies. He also enjoyed listening to Big Band Music.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Bonin Prioux, of Loreauville; two sons Gary Prioux and wife, Sheila Lasseigne Prioux, and Lon Jude Prioux and wife, Sheila Trahan Prioux, all of Loreauville; one daughter Betty Ann Prioux of Chapel Hill, N.C.; grandchildren Sonya Marie Douet of Breaux Bridge, Lacy John Prioux and Sherry Ann Prioux both of Loreauville; and one great-grandchild Taylor Marie Douet of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Moise Annas Prioux and Constance Berard Prioux; one grandchild Tonya Marie Prioux; brothers Roland, Harold, Ronald and Harvey Prioux; one sister Janette Davidson; grandparents, Pierre “Frank” Prioux, Celina Bonin, Charles Fernest Berard and Felecie LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Gary “Buddy,” Lon Jude, Lacy John, Gene and Kenneth Prioux and Jack Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney, Glenn, David Sr., Rusty and Ronnie Prioux, Johnny Bonin, Neil Suard and Forrest Eldridge.
