A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Olivia Wilson, 77, the former Olivia St. Julien on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, with the Rev. Msgr. Ronald Broussard, celebrant.

A rite of committal will be in St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery, New Iberia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 10:30 a.m., with a recitation of the rosary at 9:30 a.m.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Wilson departed this earthly life on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at 12:35 p.m. at Belle Teche Nursing Center of New Iberia.

She leaves in God’s care two sons Wesley Wilson and Leslie Wilson Jr. (Elizabeth), both of New Iberia; three sisters Alice St. Julien, Theresa St. Julien and Bertha St. Julien Malbrough, all of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who know that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Wilson Sr.; her parents, Valerance St. Julien and Philomon Pierre St. Julien; one sister Mary S. Antoine; three brothers Clarence, Clifton and Junius St. Julien; one daughter Brenda Faye Wilson; and one son Preston Wilson .

Active and honorary pallbearers will be members and friends of the immediate family

The family has requested and is receiving professional care from Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia.
