Glenn David Barras

St. Martinville — A gathering of family and friends will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home from 2:30 until 6 p.m. today for Glenn David Barras, 56, who died on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.

A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. today.

Barras enjoyed hunting, camping and doing carpentry work.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Lopez Barras of St. Martinville; his father, Sidney Barras of New Iberia; his daughters, Angela Britten and her husband, Jonathan, Cheree Bearb and her husband, Todd all of Breaux Bridge and Sandy Barras and her companion, Lonny Theriot, of St. Martinville; his brothers, John Barras of Lafayette, Roland Barras and Kurt Barras both of New Iberia; his sister, Claire Chatagnier of New Iberia, his grandchildren, Jared Britten, Angel Britten and Amber Bearb.

He was preceeded in death by his mother, Eunice Courville Barras and his brothers, Wayne and Kim Barras.
