Area storm related closings

The follow area institutions have announced closings due to the Hurricane Ike state of emergency

Louisiana Technical College Region 4 announces the following:

* LTC Lafayette Campus in Lafayette will be CLOSED on Friday, September 12.

* LTC Evangeline Campus in St. Martinville will be CLOSED on Friday,

September 12.

* LTC Gulf Area Campus in Abbeville closed at noon today, Thursday, September

11, and will remain CLOSED on Friday, September 12.

* LTC Morgan Smith Campus in Jennings will be CLOSED on Friday, September 12.

* LTC Teche Area Campus in New Iberia will be CLOSED on Friday, September 12.

*  LTC Acadian Campus in Crowley will CLOSE at 10:00 a.m. today (Friday,

September 12).

* LTC T.H. Harris Campus in Opelousas will CLOSE at 12:30 p.m. today

(Friday, September 12).

LTC Charles B. Coreil Campus in Ville Platte will remain OPEN today

(Friday, September 12).

 Due to advisories regarding possible severe weather conditions for the area, classes have been cancelled and business operations are suspended at all Delgado Community College locations, including all campuses, learning centers and sites, for Friday, Sept. 12.

 All Louisiana Technical College (LTC) Region 1 campuses and centers are closed -- with no classes or business operations -- today.

* The 16th Judicial Court and the Clerks of Court offices in

Iberia, St. Martin and St. Mary Parishes will be closed on Friday, September 12,

2008.  Said offices will reopen for business on Monday, September 15,

2008.

The Department of Social Services has temporarily closed the Emergency Food Stamp office that was located at West End Park due to Hurricane Ike.  When it reopens it will be relocated to another location which has not yet been determined.  

*The Iberia Parish Library District will closed at Noon on Friday.
