Eunice M. LeBlanc

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Emile J. LeBlanc, the former Eunice Martin,  95, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.  Fr. Donavan Labbe will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5 until 9 p.m., with the recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.

A native and resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. LeBlanc passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at New Iberia Manor South Nursing Home.

Mrs. LeBlanc was a longtime parishioner of St. Nicholas Church in Lydia and a devout Catholic who prayed daily.  Her loves were dancing, music, cooking and most importantly, her family. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her children, Audrey L. Bourgeois of Jeanerette, Lillian L. Bryant of Bayou Jack, Ted LeBlanc of Abbeville, and Alesia L. Silas of Knoxville, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren;  and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Emile J. LeBlanc; a son Minos LeBlanc and wife, Joyce; parents, Alcee and Celima Landry Martin; three grandchildren Garlene, Nathan and Donald Bourgeois; a great-granddaughter Heather Silas; and her brother and sister Climes Martin and Constance David.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
