“This is phase one of the new site,” Tarantino said. “Our previous Web site had been very stagnant. This one has flash photography and this is meant to be the beginnings of a video library that we are putting together.”
Phase one of the project includes a community video, a Port of Iberia video and a video of the Acadiana Regional Airport.

“Over time we will be building a video library so people can see Iberia Parish and all that we have to offer in a very visual way,” he said.
IDF, Firefly Digital Media, an Acadiana Web development company, and Promotional Images have worked on the Web site’s content for six months to complete phase one of the project.
Leslie Wooters, account service manager with Firefly Digital Media, said the process was a smooth one.
“We worked very well together,” she said. “I think we came up with something special, something interactive and visual that really gives you an overall sense of what Iberia Parish is about.”
“The videos that you see on the Web site will also be included on an interactive DVD that will be released shortly,” Tarantino said. “The DVD will be a tool that people can pop in their computer and drive their way through the community. These disks will be mailed out to national site selection firms across the country.”
Tarantino said the DVD will be a good, concise view of the different videos and will also include contact information for anyone they might need information.
