To my knowledge Walmart is a grocery store, etc, not a local teen hang out. Why are these juveniles allowed to hang out in the aisles and be disrespectful to customers? I wasn't a happy camper after my episode yesterday!

" So what.....you're old.WHY ARE ALL THESE ADULTS ALWAYS HANGING OUT AND TALKING AMONGST THEMSELVES AT WAL-MART. Shouldn't they be somewhere working to support their families? When I was an adult I read books. I didn't go to Wal-Mart and stand still speaking to people I know. No sir, not me I have a life. SEE HOW RIDICULOUS YOU PEOPLE SOUND? "

You know it probably creates extra work for these unfortunate people who have to work there - and they are already underpaid, overworked, etc. Is it right that they should be forced to babysit your teenagers in addition to all of their other work? What do you expect them to hang out! and dont blame the parent because i used to be a out of control teen and my mom raised we the best she could. i was old enough to know better and so are they. They know better disrespect others but they choose to. "

" Teens or Adults, What is the difference who "hangs" around in the aisles of WalMart. Adults do the same as what you are saying about the Teens. Adults block the isles to "chat" with others, and when you try to go down the isle, it is like you interupted their very important conversation. Wal Mart is a daily/weekly visit with your family. I stopped shopping Wal Mart because of the Adults that disrespect others. So if your going to complain about the teens, complain about the Adults as well. "

Fine, if that's what they want, by all means do that, but DO NOT block aisles and argue and curse with the customers. My son was with me as this juvenile delinquent decided to desrespect me. I put a X on this place for awhile. "

Find something crafty to do at home or in your neighborhood, then when you get some honest money go to walmart to buy something instead of being a social leach. Thats how I was raised and now Im a productive honest citizen. Not a thug or outlaw. "

I'm glad that we at least have Wal-Mart.I have the answer to "Why do teenagers always find themselves in trouble?"BOREDOM. That's why teenagers end up on the roof of Iberia Bank, that's why we are walking the streets late at night, and that is why we loiter in parking lots.
Just give us something to do New Iberia. We are bored. Our curiousity plays in and we find ourselves on roofs and on streets and in parking lots.

They ask customers to buy them cigaretts skateboard or ride bikes in the parking lot and I have had scratches on my vehicle because they come and lean against it, stick their hand under the vending machines to look for what ever. I think the parents need to know where their children are and what they are doing. "

They would pay to get in but they could not go out and come back in without paying again. That was to help with the safety of the kids. This city did not support it. I guess they did not like the rule that they could not go and come like they wanted. I do agree, they need something to do but will this parish support it. "

Indoor golf like I saw in another state, a refreshment stand and/or coffee shop with game tables, wii games, free access to internet, sitting room with t.v., café tables to meet friends to do homework or just hang...In this respect,..New Iberia needs to grow up and take care of our most valued asset,..our teens,..tomorrows leaders and citizens...They need a place too...More than the underground sea... " I rather see kids hang out in Wal-Mart than on the street corner. Other than the movie theater, there is nothing for the teens to do. It would be great if New Iberia had a Soda shop with an arcade (and tournaments) or a pool hall for kids to hang out at. Teenagers who work spend a lot of money and rich teenagers spend a lot of their parents money. Profit could be made at any area business. "

Why is it the responsibility of the city, or local governmnet to establish a place for kids to hang out? In pacifying a nation we are creating wimps and cry babies. Walmart is NOT the place to have kids hanging out but because no one created a 'special' hang out it's supposed to be okay for kids to hang out in a department store? It's a place of business!!!! "
