The trampolines, across from the M&M belonged to Stafford Landry. He never really opened the park officially. His son Phillip and I were best of friends back then. Stafford was a wonderfull guy.
He ran a gas station on W. Main and lived next door. The lot where the trampolines were later became a trailer park. There is a house there now. Funny thing is, I had lunch at Steve's this weekend, formerly M&M Drive in, and told this story to my wife.
    PS
I car hopped at the M&M. My first job ever. "

The cousins were at their best. I don;t think we have ever had the same bonding since other than funerals. "

Your right the shell was where McDonalds is. I also remember Jefferson Terrace being a 2 lane and I believe it was gravel. Mr. Elverse Trahan(busdriver) took that turn so fast off the highway, you had better be holding on to your books and your butt because you would fly about 2 feet up off your seat. "

A brother of mine didn't like mayonnaise nor hamburgers but he did like hot dogs (with nothing on it) & the only place in town he'd get a hot dog was Master Chef. I remember at one time at Burger Chef you could order a plain hamburger and they had a section where you could put as much lettuce, tomatoes, etc. & condiments as you want. I also remember when Freezo was on the other side of Admiral Doyle Dr. instead its present location. "
