Roland Delcambre

Delcambre – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Roland John Delcambre, age 84, at 2 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at  Our Lady of the Lake Catholic church with the Rev. Herb Bennerfield officiating.  Interment will follow at Broussard Cemetery with Military Graveside services conducted by VFW Post 1982 Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from11a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday with a Rosary at 7 p.m.  The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday until service time.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Delcambre passed away on Friday August 15, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. in Abbeville.

Reading of the Eulogy will be done by Eljane Landry.

He is survived by his children, Lonnie Delcambre of Maurice, Tina Delcambre Bourque and her husband Randall of Delcambre, Danette Delcambre Trahan and her husband Louis Jr. of Erath; grandchildren-Brandiss Bourque and Chris Trahan.  He is also survived by former wives Novella Ivy Delcambre, and the mother of his children Maerine Broussard

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adjust Delcambre and Eva LeBlanc Delcambre; brother Clifton Delcambre; sister Mildred Landry; niece Verna Goldie; and nephew Russell Landry.

His children wish to give special thanks to Maerine and Francis Broussard for their support in their time of need.

Pallbearers will be Chris Trahan, Louis Trahan, Rodney Bourque and Dwayne Darden
