Fleet blessing

Although there are fewer shrimpers working Louisiana waters, the tradition of the blessing of the fleet continues.

In Delcambre on Sunday, the final day of the Shrimp Festival opens with this ceremony that is to ask for divine guidance for a prosperous harvest and safe fishing for shrimpers.
