Funeral services will be at 1p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at the Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia for Sylvia Greer Landry, 72, who passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2008 in New Iberia.

Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.

The Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate.

Born on April 6, 1936, Mrs. Landry is a retired secretary, having worked at New Iberia Senior High School for more than 22 years. Her favorite pastimes included sewing, cooking, traveling, playing the piano and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie D. Strickland and husband Gary of Shreveport and Cynthia D. DuBois and husband Jeff of New Iberia; sons Earl J. Delcambre Jr. of Lake Charles and Michael W. Delcambre and wife Rose Marie of Sherman, Texas; step-son Harry G. Landry, Jr. and wife Barbara of New Iberia; brother Leonard E. “Sonny” Greer and wife Dean of New Iberia; grandchildren, Katie and Alex DuBois of New Iberia, Jennifer Lyon of Dallas, Samantha Lyon , Ryan Strickland and Charles Strickland, all of Shreveport, Christina Delcambre of Lake Charles, Nicole Delcambre of Sherman, Jonathan Espinosa of Sherman, Texas, Dawn L. Alleman and husband Tony of New Iberia and Craig Landry and wife Dawn of New Iberia; great-grandchildren, Tristan Schneider of Dallas, Emmi Alleman of New Iberia and Carley, Kourtlyn and Brodey Landry of all of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Landry; her first husband, Earl J. Delcambre Sr.; grandsons, Phillip Lyon and Nicholas Delcambre; and her parents, Leonard Duncan and Lena Pennison Greer.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
