A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Vincent Bodin, 74, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visiting hours will be observed Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Friday at 8 a.m. until the time of service at David Funeral Home.

Donald enjoyed watching sports on television, walking, going to his grandchildren’s ballgames, doing yard work, and also enjoyed helping family and friends. He was a coach for Pee Wee Football and Little League Baseball for over 20 years. He loved Cajun and country music. Donald was married to Mrs. Joyce for 53 years. He enjoyed his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Morgan Bodin of New Iberia; sons, Rusty Bodin and wife Andre, Ricky Bodin and wife Hollie, Gerald Bodin, Greg Bodin and wife Rene, all of New Iberia, and Scotty Bodin of Lafayette; sister, Lois Segura of New Iberia; grandchildren, Shanna Derouen, Tiffany Bodin, Katelyn Bodin, Jay Reed and wife Melissa, Beau Bodin, Cody Thibodeaux, Drake Bodin, Kelci Bodin, Karli Bodin, all of New Iberia, and Emily Reed of Lafayette; and great-grandchildren, Noah Derouen and Jayci Delahoussaye of New Iberia.
Mr. Bodin was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinard and Daisy Bonin Bodin; brother, Elton Bodin; sisters, Alma Barras, Audrey LeBlanc, Gladys Tracy, Wilda Arceneaux, Sadie Rogers and Elvie “T.V.” Segura; and a grandson, James Bodin, Jr.
Pallbearers Warren Broussard, Larry McDonald, Danny Breaux, Richard Segura, Jay Reed and Cody Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers Alvin “Tiny” Landry, Gerald Fowler, Carl Stages, Sid Richard, Wilton Fitch and V.J. Gaspard.
