Funeral services for Raymond Lewis, 59, will be held Saturday, Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Williams Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest in St. Matthew Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Lewis passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 10:05 a.m. at his residence.
Left to cherish his fond memories are his parents, Warren Sr. and Martha Lewis of New Iberia; two brothers, Warren Lewis Jr. (Flora) and Leroy Lewis (Rena), all of New Iberia; nieces and nephews Niraija Lewis of Baltimore, Md., Unrinces Edwards of Lafayette, Tavie C. Lewis of New Iberia, Cynthia Roy of Houston, and Nicole Narcisse and Patricia Haviland, both of St. Martinville; two aunts, Theresa McKelly of New Iberia and Leona Porter of Chicago; two uncles, the Rev. Roy Williams Sr. of New Iberia and Normand Williams of Abbeville; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
He joins in glory a brother Joseph Lewis; one special nephew Tavarius Lewis; two aunts, Ida Williams and Daisy Jones; and two uncles, Arthur and Walter Williams.
Active and honorary pallbearers will be members of the immediate family and friends.
