Blue Stream Services easily handled Fontainebleau-based Hood North Lake 13-2 in a game that was called after five innings by the mercy rule, while Cajun Sting rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat Notre Dame-based Cleco 5-4.
Blue Stream plays at 3:30 p.m. today while Cajun Sting will be in action at 6:30 p.m. in a pair of winner’s bracket games.

Blue Stream 13, Hood North Lake 2
Despite playing a game that was interrupted for two hours in the fifth inning by rain, Blue Stream didn’t have any trouble against Hood North Lake in taking the win.
Blue Stream scored four runs in the second inning and added five more in the fifth, including Zack Lejeune’s game-winning two-RBI double, to advance in the winner’s bracket.
Kyle Clement had two hits, including a double, and knocked in two runs for Blue Stream. Brock Romero also had two hits, including a two-RBI single, and scored two runs, and Thomas Theriot had a hit.
Thomas Robin pitched five innings and allowed two unearned runs on three hits while striking our three and walking one for Blue Stream
Individual statistics for Hood North Lake were not available.
Cajun Sting 5, Cleco 4
Cody Boutte gave up four runs, three earned, and scattered nine hits over seven innings to pick up the win for Cajun Sting.
Thomas Smith hit a home run and a double and drove in four runs for Cajun Sting. Boutte helped himself at the plate with three singles, Bryce Sibille had two hits and Shawn Olivier singled.
Mitch Corzine took the loss for Cleco, allowing all five runs in 51⁄3 innings.
Corzine had a double and an RBI, Zack Abshire added two hits and an RBI and Ricky Stoma had a single and an RBI for Cleco, which led 4-1 in the bottom of the fifth before Cajun Sting rallied with four runs in the inning to take the lead.
In the fifth, Sibille, Boutte and Olivier had three consecutive singles to load the bases. Sibille scored on a passed ball and Myles McGhee reached on a walk to load the bases again.
Smith then delivered a bases-clearing double for the Sting.
Cleco got the tying run on base with one out in the seventh, but Jacque Bourque recorded a line drive out and Boutte struck out a batter to end the game.
