Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Loreauville. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, starting at 9:30 a.m. and will continue on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service .
Mr. Bonin loved playing music and he worked as a dragline operator and fisherman.

Mr. Bonin is survived by his seven sons Joseph Bonin Jr., Clarence Bonin Sr., Curtis J. Bonin Sr., Alvin Bonin Sr., Mark Bonin Sr., Joey Bonin Sr., and Scotty Bonin Sr., all of St. Martinville; six daughters Cheryl Arnoud, Tina Leblanc, Melinda Daigle, Victoria Vicnair, Jessica Bonin and Bonnie Guidry all of St. Martinville; two brothers St. Paul Bonin and Lester Bonin, both of St. Martinville; two sisters Ester Boutte and Janet Leblanc, both of St. Martinville; he raised three of his grandchildren Kayla Creduer, Harley Bonin and Dillon Bonin; he has 54 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Bonin was preceded in death by his two wives, Angelle B. Bonin and Anna Mae Leblanc Bonin; four brothers Jessie, Alvin, Clarence and George; four sisters Rena, Barbara, Gertrude and Hazel
Pallbearers will be Alvin Bonin Jr., Brody Leblanc, Dillon Bonin, Joseph Bonin III, Clarence Bonin Jr. and Don Arnoud.
Acadian Funeral Home of New Iberia, is in charge of arrangements, 802 Weldon St., 364-6162.
