District tournament

Loreauville Park is playing host to the Pony League Pinto and Musting District baseball tournaments this weekend.

In the Pinto Division, ages 7-8, teams participating come from Delcambre, Coteau-Rynella, St. Landry, South St. Landry and Loreauville.

In the Mustang Division, ages 9-10, teams participating represent Delcambre, Erath, Arnaudville, Loreauville, South St. Landry, Rayne,Coteau and two teams from Rynella-Lydia, the Iberia Tigers and the Iberia Crushers.

The tournament opened Thursday night with two games in the Mustang Division as Delcambre beat the Iberia Tigers 24-14 and the Iberia Crushers edged past South St. Landry 15-14.

The Tournament continues tonight with the opening games of the Pinto Division as Delcambre plays Coteau/Rynella at 6 p.m. and S. Landry plays South St. Landry at 7:30 p.m.

In the Mustang Division, Erath battles Coteau at 6 p.m. and Arnaudville plays Loreauville at 8 p.m.

The Pinto Divison championship game is set for Sunday while the Mustang Division will continue through Monday.
