Accepting Differences

Many influential people in New Iberia are gay. Those of you who have children may need to thank a homosexual person for having such a positive influence on your child or maybe even for saving their life. Everyone encounters many people on a daily basis and they would never believe how many of them are gay. People should love people for who they are…not for what they are. Being gay does not define who a person is…it is just part of a person. I am a lesbian who has been in a relationship for 14 years. In a world where divorce is increasing, I think that this is defying all odds. We are both active members of the community… not the gay community but your community. People accept us for what we do for others, and do not judge us for being gay. So, continually bashing and bad mouthing homosexuals will not solve any problems…understanding and accepting differences will. Let us not judge others….let God be the judge!!
