LYDIA— Funeral services for Mr. Kenny J. Olivier, 45, will be held Saturday at 11a.m.  at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia with the Rev. Donavan Labbe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service with a rosary prayed at 10 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Olivier was born  April 8, 1963 and died June 29, 2008 at 12:15 a.m. at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Mr. Olivier was a native of Grand Marais,  he resided in New Orleans for 21years and returned to his home town for the past three years, he retired from Thompson packers after 20 years of dedicated service. He was currently employed at North American Salt Company, he was also a member of Holy Name Society and volunteer for Grand Marais  Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lazelle Raggette Olivier of New Iberia; daughters Kayelani, Melia and Alona Olivier; father-in-law,Wilfred Raggette Sr. and mother-in-law Ilsia E. Raggette of New Iberia; brothers, Wilbert Olivier Sr. and wife Barbara , Rickey Olivier Sr. and companion Carolyn, Kent Olivier Sr. and wife Arlene, Glen Olivier Sr. and wife Coretta and Paul Olivier Jr. and wife Chelsie all of Grand Marais and Rocky Olivier and wife Faye of Laplace; sisters; Judy Olivier and companion Al, Mitzy Olivier and husband Stanley all of Grand Marais and Cathy Esta and husband Sam of Gonzales; sister-in-law, Joann Olivier of Grand Marais and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul A . Olivier Sr. and Catherine Olivier; brother, Norton Olivier; grand parents, Herbert and Clara Olivier and Joseph and Elviana Olivier; brother-in-law, Wilfred Raggette Jr. and sister-in-law, Carmen Olivier.

Pallbearers will be Wilbert Olivier Sr., Ricky Olivier Sr., Rocky Olivier, Kent Olivier Sr., Glen Olivier Sr., Paul Olivier Jr. and Stanley Olivier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Provost Sr., Timothy Delahoussaye, Dale Olivier, David Boutte, Paul Terry Olivier, Stephen Raggette, Al Thompson Sr., Kent Olivier Jr., Lamon Ledet, Wilfred Raggette Sr., Daniel Olivier, Wenceslaus Provost Sr., Joseph W. Olivier,  Ricky Olivier Jr., Landon Olivier, Wilbert Olivier Jr., Glen Olivier Jr., Joseph Frilot Jr. and Waylon Nelson.

H.G. Raphael Funeral Home, 1342 Lake Arthur Dr. (337) 824-1836 of Jennings, is in charge of arrangements.
