" First and foremost, I would like to pay my respects to the family. The Daily Advertiser posted image from the 2 vehicles involved. The SUV license plate said "Law Enforcement Officer." Why were they not wearing seatbelts?

Was the driver of the car a licensed driver? Was he an illegal immigrant?

Louisiana needs to implement landlord convictions for harboring illegal immigrants. "

" What a tragedy! I live one street down from where this accident happened and I travel Hwy. 14 everyday and it amazes me how many motorist do rolling stops at this intersection. I suggest installing speed bumps. Most of all wear your seat belt, be alert and obey the stop signs they are there for a reason. "

" Sympathies go out to the families . The intersection is known for crashes and some deaths perhaps a traffic control light may be needed . line of sight trees may need attention to allow view around the curve for traffic coming from the Delcambre direction. "
