Mr. LeBlanc, affectionately known as "Doc" or "Pappa Lloyd," was born and raised at LaFourche Crossing in Thibodaux, LA and attended and graduated from Thibodaux College, class of 1947.  He was a proud member of the U. S. Marine Corp, having honorably served his country in the Korean Conflict.  Mr. LeBlanc was instrumental in starting the Victims of Violence Support Group.  He was very active in his church parish, of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Coteau Holmes, serving on the Parish Council, as an usher, and was a devout member of the Perpetual Adoration Chapel at St. Martin de Tours.  He was the recipient of the Bishop's Service Award and was a member of the Marine Corp League and an Honorary Alumni of Catholic High School of New Iberia.

Employed for more than 60 years as a bulldozer operator, Mr. LeBlanc was a self-taught master mechanic, plumber, electrician and woodworker who taught many others his crafts.

He was very dedicated to his country, his church, his family and to everyone he met. He had a story for everyone and would help anyone in need. Though having lost his son, David, in 1977, Mr. Leblanc adored his four grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eula Mayet LeBlanc; one daughter, Vickie Albert and her husband, Curry; four grandchildren, Ryan, Derek, Megan, and Jacob Albert, all of Coteau Holmes; and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was a grandfather, biologically, to four, but an "adopted grandfather" to many.

He was preceded in death by his son, David LeBlanc; his parents, Fernand and Louise LeFort LeBlanc; three brothers, Roy, Francis and Mervin LeBlanc; and three sisters, Margaret, Olive and Mildred LeBlanc.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8 a.m. on Sunday and continue at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Pall bearers will be Ryan, Derek, and Jacob Albert, Leroy Begnaud, Sr., Steve Fuselier Jr. and Byron Fuselier, Sr.
