Assembly Christian honors '08 graduating class Friday

Assembly Christian School will celebrate its graduation ceremony for 12 seniors  at 7 p.m. Friday at the First Assembly of God auditori-um.

Leading the way for the seniors of 2008 will be co-valedictorians Brittany Jade Fuselier, Banee’ Monique Madison and salutatorian Cassie Ann Dressel.

Fuselier is the daughter of Mike and Tina Fuselier of St. Martinville and has earned a 4.07 grade point average in the school’s honors program.

While doing outstanding work in the classroom, Fuselier was involved in the school Beta Club and as a member of the school volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball teams.

She won the Woodman of the World American History award and has been a Literary Rally winner for the past four years.

Fuselier was also a second team all-district basketball selection, voted by her peers as Miss Assembly Christian and received an academic excellence scholarship to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

After graduation, she plans to attend ULL and will major in nursing.

Madison is the daughter of Cynthia and Kevin Madison and also earned a 4.07 grade point average in the school’s honors program.

While standing out among her peers in the classroom, Madison was a member of the Beta Club and a member of the school softball, basketball and volleyball teams.

She was a Literary Rally winner for four years, a member of the state academic all-state team in softball, an all-district selection in softball and a basketball defensive specialist for three years.

After graduation, Madison plans to attend Louisiana State University in the fall and will major in biology.

Dressel is the daughter of Ronald and Tressy Dressel of Broussard.

While earning a 3.97 grade point average in the school honors program, Dressel was a member of the Beta Club for four years.

She was also a Literary winner, Chris Daly/J.P. Thi-bodeaux Service Self award winner, member of the school homecoming court and spring court.  

After graduation, Dressel plans to attend ULL this fall and major in the medical field.
