Carrie Landrum

SULPHUR —   A memorial service will be held for Carrie Landrum, 80, at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sulphur. The family will begin receiving friends at 10 a.m. with Eric and Leslie Mansell officiating. Interment will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.

Visitation will be  held today from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 Center Circle in Sulphur.

 Mrs. Landrum died Saturday, March 29, 2008 in a local care center.   

She was a native of Refugio, Texas and had lived in Sulphur from 1956 to 1972 when she moved to Franklin. She returned to Sulphur in 1997. Carrie enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and especially enjoyed planning family gatherings. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sulphur.   

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hubert Landrum; four children, Linda Latiolais and husband Ken of Salado, Texas, Dr. Steven Landrum and wife Jodee of New Iberia, Debi Lauret and husband Robert of Franklin  and Leigh Landrum of New Iberia; sisters, Katherine Cash of Refugio, Texas and Allie Gillespie of Woodsboro, Texas; brother, John Linney of Magnolia, Texas; grandchildren, Brian Lauret, Jennifer Doiron, Steven Landrum Jr and Eric Landrum; step-grandchildren, Monty Latiolais and Cynthia Teran and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Estelle Nash and Mertie Mullen.
