Centerville sets stage for modeling event

CENTERVILLE — Anyone who enjoyed the television show “America’s Next Top Model” should enjoy the Red Carpet Affair event this weekend.

Beta Club members from Centerville High School will walk the runway for the inaugural Red Carpet Affair takes place at 4 p.m. Saturday in Centerville High School’s old gymnasium.

Susan Thibodeaux, president of the Parent-Teacher Organization at Centerville High, said students will model clothes from their closets to culminate celebrating National Beta Club week.

“There will be four categories in where students will model with live music by a disc jockey,” Thibodeaux said.

“The students will model their Sunday’s Best, casual wear, career wear and pajamas.”

Admission for the event is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

“The money we raise will help students pay for expenses when they attend the state Beta Convention in Laf-ayette,” Thibodeaux said.

“I am inviting everyone to come out and see Centerville High School students become the next ‘Top Model.’ ”

The Red Carpet Affair is directed by Marnie Burke, Beta Club sponsor.
