Four New Heights gymnasts score 10.0s

NEW ORLEANS - New Heights Gym sent 56 gymnasts to the New Orleans Jazz Gymnastics Competition at Tulane University in late January, and for the first time at the event four gymnasts from the same club each scored a perfect 10.0 in the same event.

Two Level 2 LRG female gymnasts, Chloe Colwart and Candace Guilbeau, and two Level 1 LRG female gymnasts, Courtney LeBlanc and Mia Martin, each scored a 10.0 in the vault.

The New Heights Level 1, 2 and 3 women’s teams placed first, the Level 4 team was third and the Level 5 team was fourth. The men’s Level 5 team placed fourth.

Colwart scored a 10.0 in the vault and a 39.05 all-around score in Level 2, age 8-10. A 40 is a perfect score.

Guilbeau scored a 10.0 on the vault in Level 2, age 8-10.

LeBlanc scored a 10.0 on the vault in Level 1, age 9-10. Martin also scored a 10.0 on the vault in Level 1, age 7-8.

In women’s competition, Level 10, age 15, Morgann LeLeux was first in the uneven bars and third in the balance beam.

Talia Randazzo was fifth in the vault in Level 7, age 13.

Alex-Kaye Richard was fifth all-around in Level 6, age 13-plus, finishing second in the balance beam and fourth in the floor exercise.

Haley Miller was third all-around in Level 6, age 13-15 with a second in the uneven bars and a fourth in the vault.

Kristynn LeLeux was seventh in the vault and fifth in the uneven bars in Level 6, age 11-12.

In Level 5, age 12-13, Skylar Derouen was fourth all-around with a third in the uneven bars and a sixth in the floor. Ryean Hebert was sixth all-around, finishing sixth in the uneven bars and seventh in the vault, balance beam and floor. Paige Boudreaux was eighth all-around, finishing fourth in the uneven bars and seventh in the balance beam. Samantha Schiro was fifth in the balance beam and the floor.

Holly Jo Freeman was fifth in the vault and eighth in the balance beam in Level 5, age 10.

Reagann LeLeux was sixth in the uneven bars in Level 5, age 7-9.

In Level 4, age 13 plus, Jasmine Alexander was second all-around after finishing first in the uneven bars, second in the balance beam and third in the vault and floor. Amanda Angers was third all-around after finishing first in the vault, second in the uneven bars and floor and third in the balance beam.

In Level 4, age 10-12, Morgan Lahasky was sixth all-around an second in the uneven bars. Alaina Fontenot was eighth all-around, Chelcee Davis was ninth all-around, Alex Hebert was 11th all-around, Christine Hutchinson was 13th all-around, Aaliyah Walker was 14th all-around and Adelle Patin was 15th all-around.

In Level 4, age 8-9, Lauryn Menard was third all-around and third in the balance beam. Nathalie Hutchinson was seventh all-around.

In Level 3, age 9-plus, Camille Reaux was first all-around after finishing first in the uneven bars and balance beam and third in the floor. Jordan Courtois was second all-around and second in the vault, uneven bars and balance beam. Alecia Reynaud was third all-around. Cameron Broussard was fourth all-around and third in the uneven bars and balance beam.

In Level 3, age 7-8, Braelynn Gautreau finished first in the uneven bars and third all-around. Ashley Hutchinson was ninth all-around and Kauri Courtois was 10th all-around.

Paige Albert was first all-around in Level 2, age 13-14 with first place finishes in the vault and floor and a second in the balance beam. Camrie Prince was second all-around, finishing first in the balance beam and second in the vault, uneven bars and floor.

In Level 2, age 8-10, Chloe Colwart was second all-around with firsts in the vault, uneven bars and floor and a third in the balance beam. Candace Guilbeau was fourth all-around after finishing first in the vault and third in the uneven bars. Myriah Higgins was sixth all-around and Kiersten Romero was 14th all-around.

Hope Stein was first in the balance beam and ninth all-around in Level 2, age 6-7.

Destin Rebert was first in the vault, third in the uneven bars and balance beam and third all-around in Level 1, age 11 plus. Tristan Guilbeaux was fourth all-around and second in the vault and floor.

Courtney LeBlanc was first all-around in Level 1, age 9-10, finishing first in the vault, uneven bars and balance beam and second in the floor. Myah Arceneaux was second all-around, taking second in the uneven bars and third in the balance beam.

Mia Martin was first all-around in Level 1, age 7-8, finishing first in the vault and floor and third in the uneven bars and balance beam. Cameron Thornton was first in the balance beam and fourth all-around. Tiffany LeBlanc was second in the vault, third in the uneven bars and sixth all-around. Caroline Leleux was seventh all-around, Madison Medver was 10th all-around and Ashlee Semar was 11th all-around.

Ruthanne Reaux was third in the balance beam and third all-around in Level 1, age 5-6. Riley Racca was 10th all-around.

In men’s competition, Gavin Gautreau was third in the floor and parallel bars and seventh all-around in Level 6, age 10-11.

Brennan Trahan was first in the vault, second in the pommel horse, third in the floor and parallel bars and fourth in the rings to finish first all-around in Level 5, age 9.

Chandler Mixon was first in the parallel bars and high bar, second in the rings, third in the pommels, fourth in the floor, sixth in the vault and second all-around in Level 5, age 7-8.

Cole Courtois was fourth all-around, finishing first in the floor, fourth in the rings, fifth in the pommels, sixth in the parallel bars and high bar and seventh in the vault. Dylan Racca finished fourth in the high bar, fifth in the vault, sixth in the pommels and eighth all-around.

Montgomery Gonzales was ninth all-around in Level 4, age 8.
