Loyce B. Pierson

Funeral services for Loyce B. Pierson, 65, will begin at noon Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. J. Wilso officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of services with a rosary recited at 11:30 a.m. at the church.

A native of New Iberia and a resident of Austin, Texas, Mrs. Pierson died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

She is survived by her two daughters, Stacee Lynn Pierson Bell and husband Olivier J. Bell and Annette Pierson Raggette and husband Kenneth P. Raggette all of Austin, Texas; three brothers, Nolan Broussard and Paul Glenn Broussard, both of New Iberia and James “Tony” Broussard of Lake Charles; one sister, Theresa Clay of Bergen, N.Y.; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcide Broussard and Eula Delahoussaye Broussard; brother John Broussard and sister, Mary Amy Broussard

Pallbearers will be Oliver J. Bell, Kenneth Raggette, Ambrose Henry Clay, Paul Jason Broussard, Harriage Boyance and Lawrence “Butch” Broussard.

Honorary pallbearers will be James “Tony” Broussard, Paul Glenn Broussard and Nolan Broussard.

 Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of the arrangements.
