Time for us to stand up for our rights. Do you know what the Principal of North Street Elementary has done? If not let me be the one to inform you, Mrs. Terry Magar has changed the title of the "Black History Program" to a new title, the new title is "Great Americans Program." How and why would you sit back and allow her to do this? I thought that the month of February was declared Black History Month in Iberia Parish and most if not all of Louisiana. Did you know that the NAACP has made several calls to the School Board Office? It is time for us to make Terry Magar change the title back to what it was and to what it will always be. Where is the PTA? Where are the school board members? Please lets pull together and STOP this racism that is going on at North Street. North Street is 90-95% African American students. Is it true that Terry Magar left Park Street because the faculty and staff would not allow her to do this? Let's stand up for our rights.
