Maybe you should APPRECIATE

What in the world do you people think!? A person uses deadly force on a suspect/animal and you want the police to talk to them, taze them, send the dog!? For crying out loud..every officer does not ride around with a dog in their unit, every officer is not required to carry a taser and they do not try to strike up a conversation with a person when he is beating,stabbing, or shooting someone! Next thing you know, you'd want them to take the time to call Dominos and order a freakin' pizza!

Another thing, do you think every deputy in this town knows every looney tune, drug dealer, murderer? Heck no they don't!  One dies off and another takes his/her place. The deputies do what they have to do and if it were you in their same position you'd done the same thing. They have an obligation to protect those who can't and to protect life.

It appauls me that some of you, ridicule the deputies when they DO their job. What would most of you  know  about what really happens in the day & life of an officer or the workings of a law enforcement agency w/o any formal training. You wouldn't dare complain at your doctor or dentist for doing their job. Nope, you wouldn't 'cause you do not have formal training in that dept. either.

You only complain about the police when you get a traffic ticket, a summons, get arrested, when they do something and when they do not do what you think is right..which is practically all the time. These officers have to put up with more BS than the average person, more stress than the average person, including people yelling, cursing, spitting and sometimes even jumping on their backs when they are making an arrest. Then they go to the S.O. and have to put up with a few bureaucratic superviors and all the ugly people in upper Administration who havn't been in patrol in years or have never patrolled and get accused of things that really never happened or hear that thier report was the subject at this mornings briefing. I have worked for the Sheriff's Department and they have  always been short handed just like every other agency in America.  It affects them as much as it does you, most of these guys care and are upset that they do not have time to effectively patrol their "section" You come in here or get on TV and voice you idiotic opinions about the wrong that was done. You never realize that the first line of our nations defense comes from law enforcement. How else would you be able to get a good night's sleep. You couldn't hack it! You should be hugging the next officer you see or shaking his hand and saying an earnest thank you, because the next life he saves just might be yours. 

Get to know the officer who patrols your neighborhood and you will see that they are people to. You may even find a trustworthy friend you could count on when the chips are down.
