CENTERVILLE — During November’s St. Mary Parish School Board meeting, board members unanimously approved the start of a pilot program for administrators at B.E. Boudreaux Middle School in Baldwin.

At Thursday night’s meeting, the School Board will hear a recommendation from Superintendent Donald Aguillard on who will become the first person to start the pilot program at the school. Aguillard will give the School Board his recommendation for the Dean of Students post.

That recommendation tops a brief agenda for the St. Mary Parish School Board when it meets at 5 p.m. Thursday at the central office complex in Centerville.

According to its agenda the School Board will also consider an acceptance of an audit report for the year ending June 30, 2007, which will be presented by the firm of Darnall, Sikes, Gardes and Frederick.

Also, the School Board will hear an update on the St. Mary Parish School Board’s contribution to the St. Mary Literacy Council and general information on the South Louisiana Community College in Franklin.

In old business, the School Board will consider a request of the St. Mary Parish Council regarding the expansion of Cypremont Point State Park.

At last month’s School Board meeting, St. Mary Parish President Paul Naquin and state park chief of resources development officer Clifford Melius presented the School Board a short presentation telling their future plans for the state park.

In other business, the School Board will:

• Recognize its students of the month for December.

• Recognize its 2007 National Board Certified Teachers.
